Step 1: Online Application
1. Visit the UMST Official Website.
2. Complete the online application form with accurate details.
3. Attach all required documents as specified.
4. Submit your application and wait for the approval status, which will be processed within 24 hours.
Step 2: Application Review & Status Notification
Approved Applicants:
1. Receive an official approval letter via email.
2. Rejected Applicants:
- Will be notified of the rejection reason (e.g., academic qualifications below the minimum admission requirements).
3. Pending Applicants:
- Will be required to submit missing documents before further processing.
Step 3: On-Campus Registration
Visit the Admissions Office with the required documents.
1. Submit the documents for verification and approval.
2. Receive permission for registration.
3. Proceed to the General Registration Office to obtain payment authorization.
4. Visit the Finance Department to complete the payment process.
5. Return to the Admissions Office to finalize registration (including medical check-up and interview).
6. Go back to the General Registration Office to collect your student ID card.
Requirements:
A: Sudanese and other Arabic certificates
Admission Requirements
1. General Requirements:
• Applicants must hold a Sudanese High School Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Admission is based on the student's percentage in mandatory subjects, along with three additional qualifying subjects determined by the chosen faculty.
• The name written on the certificate should be in Capital Letters and should exactly match with that in the given passport. This also applies for those who hold dual Passports, only one passport will be used throughout the study duration.
2. Specific Certificate Requirements:
UAE Certificate:
• Students who have taken Health Sciences must submit their Grade 11 transcript from their school.
Saudi Certificate:
• Applicants must submit their First Attempt Result (Al-Tahsili Alawal), as well as (Achievement Test) and Qudrat (Aptitude Test) scores.
IGCSE Requirements:
For Science Faculties:
• Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, along with the two best additional subjects.
For Humanities Faculties:
Mathematics, English, and five qualifying subjects.
• GCSE Requirements
For Science Faculties:
• Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, along with the two best additional subjects.
For Humanities Faculties:
• Mathematics, English, and five qualifying subjects.
1. Acceptance of International Certificates:
• The university accepts all Arab and foreign high school certificates for admission.
B: Rwandan and all other non-Arabic certificates
1. Applications are open to students from all over the world.

3. A Secondary Certificate (A-Level) or High School Diploma.
4. National exam scores with an overall aggregate of at least 50%, including Biology and Chemistry as princi pal subjects.
5. A Physics-Chemistry-Biology (PCB) combination with grades A to C in all three core subjects is required
The following combinations are NOT accepted as Physics is a mandatory subject for admission to medical faculties:
• Math-Chemistry-Biology (MCB)
• Biology-Chemistry-Geography (BCG)
• IGCSE/GCSE O Levels with a minimum of seven completed subjects, including grades A to C (9-4 grades) in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Physics.
• Other high school certificates with at least grades A to C in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics are also acceptable.
• English Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate a strong command of the English language.
• NESA Equivalency Certificate is required for all applicants from countries other than Rwanda.

Required Documents for Upload:
Authenticated copy of the secondary school certificate and transcripts.
• Equivalence of the secondary school certificate from NESA (National Examination and School Inspection Authority). If not available, UMST will process it on behalf of the applicant.
• Copy of Passport (or National ID for Rwandan applicants).
• Receipt of the application fee ($20 USD or the equivalent in Rwandan Francs).
